HEADQUARTERS A 10-week summer internship program at Target headquarters in Minneapolis, MN will let you:


  1. Make the most of a paid internship with round-trip airfare and housing available for out-of-state interns.
  2. Work with a team to analyze and develop company strategies.
  3. Present your final project to management at the conclusion of your internship.
  4. Attend various networking events, including a professional development workshop, Target distribution center and store tours, an Executive Lunch and a volunteer event.

STORES
A 10-week paid internship at a Target store or Target pharmacy will let you:


  1. Familiarize yourself with all areas of a store, including Assets Protection, Guest Service, Sales Floor, Replenishment, Logistics, Human Resources and Pharmacy, while receiving hands-on training in your area.
  2. Take on a special project that will allow you to focus on a specific area of the store.
  3. Work closely with members of the store’s leadership team and with store team and pharmacy team members.
  4. Gain a significant understanding of Target stores or Target pharmacies.
SUPPLY CHAIN/LOGISTICS
A paid 12-week summer internship program at a Target distribution center will let you:


  1. Enhance your knowledge of distribution operations through a comprehensive training program.
  2. Learn the workings of the Target supply chain network and its leadership team.
  3. Evaluate existing operating methods and help motivate continuous improvement.
  4. Develop your leadership skills and lay the groundwork for a career at Target.

Evaluation: The evaluation and grade will be completed by Internship Coordinator Marilyn Kritzman and will be based upon the following:

  1. The student’s journal/log/observation of all intern activities
  2. The student’s copy of all work produced
  3. The student’s learning objectives and progress made toward the learning objectives
  4. Final paper
  5. The internship sponsor mid-internship evaluation
  6. The internship sponsor final evaluation

Method of Evaluation:

  1. Student’s journal/log: 20%
  2. Student’s work: 20 %
  3. Paper: 20%
  4. Internship sponsor mid-internship evaluation: 20%
  5. Internship sponsor final evaluation: 20%

Calendar:

  1. E-mail updates to faculty sponsor every month.
  2. Additional communication via email, phone or in person as needed
  3. All materials are to be submitted to Marilyn Kritzman on the Wednesday prior to final weeks of the semester/session registered.
  4. Internship sponsor evaluation due half way through the internship
  5. Internship sponsor final evaluation due the Wednesday of finals week with the rest of the
    material. The evaluation may be submitted with the student’s materials in a sealed envelope, or the sponsor may submit it separately by the due date.
